Guangdong Lingnan Institute of Technology

Recorded by the State Ministry of Education and granted by Guangdong Provincial Government, Guangdong Lingnan Institute of Technology was established in May 2001 as a provincial comprehensive higher learning institution with a right to recruit full-time students both within and outside the province and to award academic certificates.
The college is located in the City of Science, eastern area of Guangzhou, neighboring to Guangzhou Tianhe Software Park, the software industrial base of southern China. To the south, the college is close to the Olympic Sports Center, the World Grand View Park, and the Space Flight Park of Guangzhou. Lingnan is equipped with excellent sport facilities on the campus. The information construction of our school has reached to national Level II standard.
It now has 11 departments including School of Business, School of Management, Lingnan-Hongkong Institute of Casting, School of Electronic & Information Engineering, School of Art & Media, School of Foreign Languages & Trade, School of Health & Pharmacy, Lingnan ZTE 3G School, Star Station Animation & Game Design School, School of Humanities & Social Science, offering 39 specialties, and more than 15,000 full-time students. It also set up Adult Education School and Training School, cooperating with Jilin University and Tianjin University in distance learning and adult college education.
Adhering to the people-oriented principle, Lingnan implements the training model of combining professional skills and liberal education to train high-quality professionals with expertise and skills.
Insisting on schooling concept of ‘syncretizing learning with practice’, Lingnan widely cooperates with enterprises to run specific majors, in order to cultivate talents and help employment. Now Lingnan has 2 departments founded by both Lingnan and enterprises, and 27 customized education classes. There are more than 30 high and new tech enterprises stationed in Lingnan Scientific Park (Branch of National Software Base, Guangzhou Tianhe Software Park) and Lingnan Entrepreneur Park (Venture Center for College Students of Guangdong Province ), which are founded by Lingnan, offering students with practice and employment opportunities.
With the guide of international vision and advanced vocational education concept, Lingnan launches a reformation of educating mode, and strengthens international exchange and cooperation. Now we have built up relationship with colleges in the U.S.A, Australia, U.K., Korea, and Japan.
